Xylene

“it is an organic chemical compound. Also known as Xylol or dimethylbenzene. It is one of 3 isomers of dimethylbenzene. It contains a central benzene ring attached with two methyl groups as substituents.
Ortho- Xylene (O- Xylene): aromatic hydrocarbons with formula C6H4(CH3)2. With methyl substituents bonded to adjacent carbon atoms of a benzene ring and mostly used to produce phthalic anhydride for various coatings and plastics.
Para- Xylene (P- Xylene): aromatic hydrocarbon, three isomers of dimethyl benzene called xylene. P stands for para indicates two methyl groups in p-xylene. They are widely used for feedstock to manufacture other industrial chemicals.
Mixed- Xylene (M- Xylene): it is a combination of ethylbenzene and three isomers of xylene where m xylene predominates. Mixed xylene produced in large amounts from petroleum or coal tar.
