- D.P.G. is gasoline hydrogenation technology. The pyrolysis gasoline is a major byproduct in an ethylene plant. It is used to saturate the diolefins and acetylenes contained in pyrolysis gasoline streams. The saturation of diolefins and acetylene is needed before using the pyrolysis gasoline as gasoline blending stock.
