Liquefied Petroleum Gas (L.P.G.)

  • It is composed of hydrocarbons containing 3 or 4 carbon atoms, the normal components of L.P.G. are propane, butane and a small concentration of other hydrocarbons. It can easily burn in the air and has energy similar to petrol and twice heat energy of natural gas. They are commonly used as a fuel for gas barbecue grills and gas ovens and cooktops, portable heaters.
